O'Brien Braun Attorneys to be Featured at 27th Annual Natural Products Expo East

Fern O'Brien and Debbie Huttner, attorneys with O’Brien Braun P.C., will be featured speakers at Natural Products Expo East. Expo East, now in its 27th year, is a leading trade show for natural and organic products companies, held September 21-24, 2011, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland.

Debbie's presentation, Ensuring Food Safety for Manufacturers: Simple Steps, will be held on Friday, September 23, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., and will focus on the new Food Safety Modernization Act passed by Congress this past year and how it will impact growers and producers of natural and organic products.

Fern will participate in a panel discussion, Building an International Brand: What You Need to Know before Going Global, on Saturday, September 24, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. The discussion will include an overview of issues to consider when building an international brand, including intellectual property concerns; labeling and content regulations; language, culture and customs; preparing for the speed at which a global brand can take off as a result of worldwide social networking; and marketing and public-relations strategies.
